I went to the Kinkerbuurt on Thursday night, and saw definite signs of Christmas.
Not everyone in the Netherlands only celebrates Sinterklaas. Lots of people may
celebrate Christmas also, but regardless, Amsterdam is a very international city
and caters to the interests of people from many, many countries.
Lots of streets and areas have their own Christmas decorations, even if
the decorations are not provided or installed by the city of Amsterdam.
For instance, the Utrechtsestraat has it’s own street decorations and
the Spiegelstraat has a very different type of street decorations even
though they are both in the same city.
