Through a massive effort of a crane ship, divers and helpful by-standers the sunken houseboat was raised and drained. Also, the ice keeps growing, the kids keep skating, an impromptu classical concert erupted on the ice on the Prinsengracht and my neighbor got a convertible G-Wagon. click on them to zoom in.
Woke up early this morning to find the canal was frozen over with a light dusting of snow. Last weekend the weather suddenly went colder and yesterday ice blocks started appearing in the grachten (canals). Over the next few days heavy snowfall is predicted. ^^click pic to zoom in^^
