It’s been cold. The canals have frozen over. Some of the neighbours have gone away for wintersports holidays, leaving their houses alone in the ice. One such neighbour had some bad luck this morning. What a glorious day. The sun was shining in a cloudless sky so I took a walk around as much as I could. As the sun went down, so did the temperature. Hovering around -10 and a little colder. Probability of snow again tomorrow. Sony NEX5N, LAEA2, Zeiss 85 f/1.4 >- click pix to enlarge-<
The canal was frozen this morning so I set up my camera and filmed a time-lapse video of the snow starting to fall, then turning into a blizzard. Woke up early this morning to find the canal was frozen over with a light dusting of snow. Last weekend the weather suddenly went colder and yesterday ice blocks started appearing in the grachten (canals). Over the next few days heavy snowfall is predicted. ^^click pic to zoom in^^
