The Amsterdam Gay Pride festival is a weel-long event ending with many parties
concerts, events and eventually a parade on the canals. The route winds through
most of the  city and people come from all over the world to attend the festivities.

There is a lot to do and see, but the overall vibe of the city is extremely positive
and focuses on awareness, education, understanding, health, acceptance and
tolerance.

Even if you are not personally interested in same-sex relationships, this
event is still a lot of fun and I did not see anyone having a bad time or
even in a bad mood.

I will break the event into 3 parts. The first is the Canal Parade itself with
focus on the floats, boats and procession.
