Sometimes I come across the Floating Dutchman cruising up and down
various canals in Amsterdam. The service was launched last year for
transfer passengers who have a long stop-over at the Amsterdam Schiphol
Airport. If you have enough time, it’s a great way to spend time that would
otherwise be spent sitting in an airport terminal.
The bus will take you from the transfer terminal, to the Ship museum in the
center of Amsterdam, then it drives into the water, and around a few canals
then back to the airport. Once you get on, you can’t get off – so you don’t have
to go through airport security again.
The bus makes it’s tour, rain or shine, 3 times per day.
