Kampai!

A few weeks ago, I was walking home late one night and saw a new store near my house.

The place looks AWESOME, and is filled with only Japanese liquors, Sake, Whiskey, Beer and
Shochu (a sort of a distilled beverage, usually made from rice, sweet potato or brown sugar
and which is very popular among Japanese.

But it was closed… well, today I called them and went down to get the low-down.

I met with the founder and owner Tim Vloeimans and his partner Ilias Bel Hach
and learned all about the shop, about Sake, Shochu and cruised through their
impressive selection.

I love Sake, but it is nearly impossible to find premium Sake here. Well, that has now
changed. They have a great selection of premium Sake and much, much more.

Located on the Nieuwe Amstelstraat 111, near the Waterlooplein in Amsterdam,
the shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12.00 am to 20.00 pm.
